The trailer for the upcoming "Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya" movie has been released.

The movie, which will clock in at two and a half hours will focus what is probably the fan favorite of the storylines, which at one point was supposed to be shown in the latest season of the anime. Instead of course we got the endless eight, not that I am bitter or anything....

The latest episode of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya finally starts a new arc, and sees the end of the "Endless Eight", which was wearing thin the patience of Haruhi fans, as well as yours truly. To those unaware, the episodes of the last eight weeks had the same sequence of events, animated from slightly different viewpoints and chronology.

This new arc, "The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya" is a welcome change, and the new season should finally be under way then. The only thing now is to wait for Haruhi to finally disappear.

Volume two of Kadokawa Shoten's Macross Ace magazine shipped in Japan on Friday. Included in the second volume there is a new manga series based on the Macross science-fiction franchise. The First story in the Macross Frontier drama CDs has been adapted by artist Megane Kikuya (.hack//XXX) into Nyan-Dra: Alto Meets Sky.

Alto Saotome is a pilot of a transforming space fighter and is also the main character in last year's Macross Frontier television series. Macross Frontier has inspired at least five earlier manga series.

The magazine is also continuing the serialization of the Super Dimension Fortress Macross the First, the manga retelling of the first Macross television series and movie by original character designer Haruhiko Mikimoto.
The character designer and animation director of Macross Frontier, Yuichi Takahashi, is also drawing a four-panel manga called Vajranpo. Macross A Shuccho-go. There are also interviews with Lynn Minmay voice actress and singer Mari Lijima, acclaimed mechanical animation designer Ichiro Itano, Full Metal Panic! creator Shoji Gatoh and Macross mechanical illustrator Hidetaka Tenjin to be found within this second volume of the magazine.

The next volume of Macross Ace is scheduled to ship in the middle of November — the same month
