Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine's 41st issue will confim that an
anime feature based on the
Negima! Magister Negi Magi
manga has been given the green light for production in 2011. Creator
Ken Akamatsu, best known for his Love Hina title, had already indicated in his online diary last month that the decision to produce the project had been made.
It was during a Negima event in February that Kodansha producer Yoichi Ishimoto had said that if sales of the upcoming original anime DVD series are good, there would be plans for a theatrical film adaptation. The first four volumes of the anime DVD series will ship with the 27th manga volume on September 17, 2009. This limited edition bundle, DVDs and manga, will have over 70,000 copies made.

Mohiro Kitoh will launch a new
manga sereis that is tentatively titled
Noririn this winter. The manga will feature a female high school road racer who has had her license revoked and has to take up cycling for her mountain errand job.

Hiro Mashima has been given the green light to be produced into an
anime for this fall. The 31st issue of
Kodansha's weekly Shonen Magazine will announce the
anime adaptation next Wednesday. The
anime will be produced by A-1 Pictures and Satelight.
The
manga follows the story of a teenager girl named Lucy Heartfillia who wants to join the world's most notorious mage guild,
Fairy Tail. It's during a daring rescue that she meets her, soon to be, friend Natsu "Salamander" Dragneel. Natsu is a quirky member of
Fairy Tail and a teenaged practitioner of the ancient Dragon Slayer magic. After being accepted into
Fairy Tail Lucy and Natsu (and other members) go on various quests.
The seventh volume of
Fairy Tail will be published by
Del Rey in North America next month.
Mashima, the creater of this series, also created the Monster Hunter Orage
manga and Rave
manga. The Rave
manga was published by Tokyopop in North America under the name Rave Master.
