Aoi Hana's Anime adaptation by Kenichi Kasai and J.C. Staff is set to debut in Japan on July 1st. (Canada day!) The official website for J.C. Staff's television anime adaptation of Takako Shimura's Aoi Hana yuri manga has begun streaming three videos on Tuesday. There is now a 15 second television commercia, a 115 second promotional video and a 38 second behind the scenes production video that can be viewed on the website's trailer section.

Aoi Hana will be directed by Kenichi Kasai of Honey and Clover, Kimikiss pure rouge, Nodame Cantabile, etc. and Fumihiko Takayama will supervise the scripts. The characters will be designed by Masayuki Onchi (Cromartie High School, Daa! Daa! Daa!, Mirmo Zibang).

In the original manga's story, Fumi and Akira were close childhood friends until Fumi had to move away. Ten years after losing touch with each other, the two girls meet again as high school freshmen. The two struggle to reconnect after so much has changed, and both deal with the trials and tribulations of high school — sometimes independently and sometimes with each other's help. - Anime News Network
