A live action adaptation of Hideyuki Kikuchi's Vampire Hunter D may see the light of day.

In a post script written in the 13th Volume, of the Vampire Hunter D series, Twin-Shadowed Knight, Kikuchi thanked the success of Twilight for moving the cogs forward on a project that had been otherwise stalled.

As the creator of the series, my curiosity is boundless as to just how D will strike readers when he appears before them as a real actor and how those same readers will greet him.

Further information regarding the project such as which novel will be adapted, has not been provided.

Undoubtedly, this will only prove to heighten the expectations held by fans for the films.
