Ai Yazawa puts Manga on Hold due to illness and the Hiatus is expected to last several months and will start with the current
Cookie issue.
Shueisha announced on Friday that
manga creator
Ai Yazawa is putting her
Nana series on hold due to a serious illness. As a result of this the August issue of
Cookie magazine will not have the scheduled installmant of
Nana. Since
Ai Yazawa will need several months of treatment and rest,
Nana will not appear in the September issue (which will ship on July 25 or later issues. This is expected to last until further notice is given.
With the offer of apologies to
Nana's readers
Cookie can not confirm when
Nana will return but once the editors can confirm
Yazawa's recovery they will notify their readers of the
manga's return through the magazine, the magazine's homepage, and the official
Nana website. (among other means) We will keep you updated as well.
