If half of Naruto's fan base is made of girls, then half of Naruto's fan base is made of boys. Therefore, it is still relevant to broadcast such a series on a channel that is aimed at boys.

Battle anime and manga are aimed at boys anyway, Naruto is published in a magazine aimed at boys. So, I'm not seeing what the issue or "controversy" is.

It would be far more controversial to air a series such as Vampire Knight, whose target audience is girls even though it also has a male fan base.

You know we're all screwed for life when Disney airs a shounen anime.
Wasn't Disney XD made to appeal to boys ages 6 to 14? Unfortunately, to Disney's dismay, half of Naruto's fanbase is made up of girls. FAIL.
Not like I really care, I don't like Naruto anyway. I just want to see how much controversy comes from all this.
