Kimi no Kakera to return after two Years
Posted by LadyPSerenity in Anime / Manga September 21, 2009 at 12:00:00 PM

Best known for SaiKano manga creator Shin Takahashi is resuming his Kimi no Kakera fantasy adventure manga after a two years. The manga was originally released in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in 2002. It ran until 2004 when Takahashi stopped the magazine serialization and continued releasing the story directly in book volumes. The seventh volume will ship on October 17, 2009. A full 26th months after the sixth volume was released.

The story centers on Icoro, a princess of a snowbound country with no parents, no real power — and thanks to a mysterious illness, no ability to feel happiness. Icoro's adventures begin when Shiro, a boy who cannot feel pain, falls through her ceiling. The two embark on a journey to search for the sun to save their country, but are chased by "Warmongers" along the way.

VIZ released both the SaiKano manga and its television anime adaptation in North America. A live-action version was also produced in Japan.
