A preview trailer for the film places it's release for January 23, 2010.

Posted by Gjallarhorn on August 06, 2009 @ 05:36:04 PM in News Articles The recently announced theatrical film for TYPE-MOON's hit visual-novel and anime series Fate/Stay Night has been confirmed to be covering the acclaimed Unlimited Blade Works path of the visual-novel. While the plot is almost entirely different from that of the original anime series, which covered the Fate path, key differences include: An action-heavy plot, Rin Tohsaka as the heroine, and a much heavier focus on the protagonist Emiya Shiro.

The film will feature the original voiceacting cast from the anime, and is set for theatrical release on Jan. 23, 2010.
