Anime Vice is reporting this morning that South Korea who has been watching Japan build massive Gundam Statues has decided to build a giant robot of its own. Not only will they build their own they're planning to make it bigger than the Gundam, Tetsujin 28. This statue will be 111 meters tall. This will be more than twice the height of the Statue of Liberty; and five times taller than the Gundam.



South Korea is not only building a Robot though, they're building an entire Robot Park. The Official Website for the new theme park entitled Robot Land shows the design and needless to say it looks pretty cool. This new amusement park is being built by Incheon Metropolitan City.

The name of the robot statue is Taekwon V. If curious Taekwon V is considered to be a complete ripoff of Mazinger Z. Only Taekwon is taller and angrier looking.

Plastic Pals is suggesting that you may be able to go inside this robot for fine dining and of course the money making gift shop, full of cheesy souvenirs.

What a way this would be to start the day. I know I'd have more incentive to be up if I could expect a persocon-type robot making my morning beverage.

Hina is a popular, programmable Japanese robot, and the video of her brewing coffee is pretty amazing. It is staged though, but not stop motion. The little robot has enough articulation to perform the tasks at hand via a program. Now all it needs is the AI to do it without help. But I have seen the future, and I want it now!
