Kadokawa Shoten's
Young Ace magazine launches a new gag comedy manga for manga creator Hideki Ohwada (Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku). Titled
Sengoku Yankee the
manga is about fools in Japan's warring-states period. Centered on "foolish" military commanders during Japan's strife torn Sengoku era.
Publisher Takeshobo announced last month that an anime adaptation of the
Mudazumo Naki Kaikaku manga has been given the green light. The manga is a political parody of a fictionalized version of Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi. In the anime the Prime Minister plays a special form of 'Mahjong Diplomacy" against foreign adversaries such as George W. Bush, Kim Jong-il, Vladimir Putin, Margaret Thatcher among others.
The issue bundles a "Osada-bon" booklet about the artwork of Neon Genesis Evangelion manga creator and Summer Wars chearacter designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. Already bursting with new content the same third issue of Young Ace is starting a new vampire comedy manga called Blood-Rad by manga creator Yuki Kodama.
