Gentosha Comics announced that an anime movie adaption based on Himaruya Hidekaz's manga series Hetalia - Axis Powers is planned for 2010. Further details concerning that announcement will be brought up in Novembers issue of Comic Birz, on September 30. Hetalia - Axis Powers is a rather cynical satire on historical events including World War I and II. Each of the powers is embodied by a bishounen. The manga itself is very successful, and starting in the beginning of 2009 also an animated series aired in Japan, each volume being 5 minutes in duration. Source: Anime News Network
