Life Size Eva 01 Bust Near Mt Fuji

While Gundam has had a 1:1 scale model (or so they claim) for about a year now, Eva has been missing out on the action. Well no longer!

Fuji-Q HighLand amusement park has announced that it will open "Evangelion: World - Life-Size EVA-01 Construction Project" on July 23. It will house a 1:1 reconstruction of the scene from Evangelion when Shinji sees Unit 01 for the first time. In addition to the Unit 01 bust, there will also be a full size cockpit mockup that visitors can sit in (and pay to have their pictures taken), life size model of Kaworu, as well as an Eva museum, gallery and video room. There will also be a gift shop selling all things Eva, but those are hard to escape in Japan as-is.
