Hetalia: Axis Powers [Review]
Posted by IceCreamNinja in News Articles June 27, 2010 at 08:26:50 AM

Hetalia: Axis Powers will go down in history as one of mankind’s greatest crimes. I’m not even sure how to begin to explain why, as basically it involves every single thing in the anime. All I can do is describe the visceral sensation felt when, after watching the first few episodes and slowly realizing with mounting horror the nightmare I had just unleashed, my mind suddenly collapsed in on itself and I was left a hollow shell of seething hatred. For over two months, I roamed a shattered doomscape, nameless and forgotten, haunted by the malevolent visage that was this brutal persecutor. Now, miraculously returned from this desert of suffering, violence and casual evil, I’m here as a living example to warn others and keep them from a similar fate.

Where to begin?

Hetalia comes from the combination of the word for hetare—the Japanese word for useless—and the katakanized name for Italy: Itaria. So by the very title of the show, the anime is making fun of Italy. The rest of the series doesn’t deviate much from this lofty path, variously casting Italy as lazy, stupid, obsessed with pasta, and a blight for whatever ally it has happened to align itself with. This is accomplished largely by anthropomorphizing the countries, giving them human traits and appearances stereotypically associated with the places they’re based on. America for example is a bomber jacket-wearing loudmouth who eats cheeseburgers by the ton and can’t help talking about how great he is. Germany, Italy’s primary victim of his uselessness, is motivated and hardworking, yet hamstrung by his worthless ally. And finally Japan in a rather flattering portrayal is a quiet, mysterious, thoughtful and observant young man who knows how to make the best of any situation. The first half of the shows commonly portray the countries as adults in the 20th century, usually during World War I or II, while the second half of the episodes in the first season are divided into something called Chibitalia that shows the countries when they were younger during the time of the rise and fall of the Holy Roman Empire.

The very concept for this show and how it even came about is so baffling to me that it’s hard to even put into words how ridiculous it is. There was a time a little after the September 11th attacks when America for reasons few can even recall now changed the name of French Fries in the congressional cafeteria to Freedom Fries as a result of France not supporting it enough in its rush to attack the wrong country. Now try to imagine that on top of that absurdity someone, somewhere, somehow got it into their head to make a television show about France that did nothing other than make fun it. A television show where France, maybe wearing a beret and a striped shirt and speaking in a ridiculous voice, did nothing but sleep and proclaim his love for crepes in every episode. Even if you agreed with the name change, even if you were somehow swept up in this casual France-bashing going on around that time, I submit that there is no way anyone—other than perhaps maybe children—would watch such a show, and continue to watch such a show for three seasons and counting. AND line up in long lines for a movie based on such a franchise. And yet, this is exactly the current state of Hetalia—a show based primarily on bashing Italy that comes seventy years after Japan would have any actual reason to do so. Yet somehow, a series about Italian uselessness in World War II and elsewhere has become such a runaway comedic hit in Japan that people are waiting hours currently for tickets to its first feature length movie—proving beyond a shadow of a doubt something I’ve long suspected: that there is a God, and that he hates all of us.

The show, in a way, does teach a certain kind of history, and though it was summarily dropped by the channel before it started airing, Hetalia was scheduled to begin its run on a children’s network. So in a way, one might consider this a children’s show—a way to teach history to kids in a fun and engaging manner. Sort of like a Japanese version of Histeria! right?

Uh…yeaaaaah.

There are two problems with this approach. First, stereotyping people and countries into ridiculous caricatures does nothing to teach viewers about the places themselves, but rather simply reinforces the incorrect preconceptions they already hold towards the subjects. And second: reducing historical events into easily digestible comedic segments doesn’t teach history, it trivializes it. Italy captured by Germany after hiding in a box of tomatoes during World War I says nothing about the war, Italy’s role in it, its campaigns against the Austro-Hungarian Empire, why it fought, nor even what actually happened to it in that conflict. This stupid, irreverent interlude does nothing more than hammer away at the already old joke about Italy’s uselessness. Worse, under the guise of history, it incorrectly imparts in viewers the mistaken belief that Germany captured or defeated Italy during World War I. And while in later episodes the show moves away slightly from the Italy-bashing to focus on other things, Hetalia is still predicated on the belief that complex events can be reduced and represented through common anime tropes, in the process often marginalizing the true weight of those events for comedic or melodramatic effect.

Objectively, my complaints with Hetalia: Axis Powers aren’t that important. If you like anime or if you’re just searching for any kind of mindless entertainment, this show is as good an option as any. The use of common anime characterizations as applied to a historical context is interesting insofar as how the creators found a way to commonly link the two disparate ideas. The length of the episodes (five minutes) is also short enough for anyone looking for something simple to pass the time after running out of options on youtube or elsewhere. If, however, you are like me, and you have at least a glancing interest in and respect for the people and the events of the past, I offer fair warning to you now that you watch this series at your own peril. Any volcanic explosions of murderous, rage-induced, mind-melting hatred that may occur during the course of your viewing are not the responsibility of the author or this website.

okay
if your wondering with the new commenters i did a liveblog on tumblr about this article
I think its incredibly biased for several reasons
1. its supposed to be a parody ok? all this bullshit about disrespecting history is false and proves you know nothing about the show
seriously name one incident of geniune racism you can back up none? see? Himamurya isnt dumb
2. more personal if it werent for Hetalia I might be dead why? it brought me through a period of severe mental health problems if i hadnt found the hetalia fandom, I would have had no one
3. assuming you arent trolls enough with the religion crap Hetalia has nothing to do with it and its people like you that makes decent Christians (like me) look bad
now i have no clue whether you will flame me for this or not but please just show some decent respect for this

Oh joy. I legit made an account on here JUST so I could say something to this stupid reviewer.
Okay! -cracks knuckles- I personally just /love/ when people bring God into a conversation about something completely IRRELEVANT. Here\'s a wonderful slap in the face for you Christian haters, God/Jesus/Whoever You Believe in (if they even EXIST) do not have TIME to sit there and damn people to hypothetical hell because they like a television show, which BTW, IS A COMEDY. BASED ON STEREOTYPES. Gosh, why can\'t anyone understand this?!
And, for the wonderful commenter that said that God would cancel the show, let me remind you that the fanbase for this show, which is apparently so OFFENSIVE, consists of thousands, no MILLIONS, so I doubt it will ever be cancelled. And if it does, we can make our own Hetalia. It\'s called current events.

Without Hetalia, history wouldn\'t be interesting. It\'s amusing to think of countries as personified individuals, to imagine their reactions to things that happen in history or currently. I believe Hetalia was created to make this kind of interest. So fuck everyone else, excuse my French. (Ohonhonhon indeed.)

Despite what God says, people do what they want anyway. Women have sex with women, men with men, people shun God\'s \"rules\" everyday. God said you couldn\'t wear polyester. I doubt you don\'t own at least one shirt made with that material. So, this, like everything else that I do, will just be something I forget about. Not that I have a personal opinion on what God wants me to do anyway.

In conclusion, this is a terribly biased review from the perspective of a religious asshole that can\'t accept people\'s happiness. And I hope no one takes him seriously.

And on a final note, fuck you but have a nice day, mr. IceCreamNInja.
Love,
The Hetalia Fandom.

Hetalia wasn't cancelled in Japan. it was cancelled in Korea. if it's "Just a cartoon." then why even watch or be entertained by it. if it's important enough to enjoy it's important enough for people to complain about. Hetalia obviously isn't harmless because it spreads racism.

example, most of the countries are depicted with stereotypes, except for Korea. Korea was depicted with the perspective racist Japanese people have towards Koreans. now you see a bunch of fans saying racist things towards Koreans because they don't show the series on a channel that Hetalia is too inappropriate for. and Japanese racists are taking advantage of Hetalia and are trying to use it to get others to hate Korea and see them as inferior. look up on google. "Hetalia ban Korean's are terrorists." one Hetalia wasn't "banned" from Korea. and two, it says the forum is for hating Koreans but strictly forbids bashing Japanese. and another one. "Hetalia ban, Koreans are retarded." need I say more.

blatant racism bashing people on the head so freaking hard it's stupified them. and got them into being racist without knowing or admitting it.

Hetalia and a majority of it's fanbase are truly discusting.

Wow, you people are immature. I understand that Hetalia's characterizations can cause offense (that's why the series never aired on Japanese television, because Koreans were offended by their country's portrayal), but for crying out loud, it's an anime series! It's not meant to be serious!

The countries are meant to represent aspects of ALL their citizens, which means the most common traits of a particular nationality will stand out the most. I'm an American, so i only feel entitled to address America here, but his character doesn't offend me. In fact, it's just the opposite. I have to love him because it's just so true. There are a lot of Americans that live on fast food, that think they're great, and that love to play the hero, but you have to remember that deep down, America's character is a good-hearted person. And so are most of us real life Americans. I know there are a lot of people who agree with me that their respective countries are portrayed very well indeed.

Also, Hetalia isn't meant to make fun of history. It seems that all of you, from the lovers to the haters, know that Hetalia avoids going into the more terrible events in world history. It's my belief that this is because those are the events that people remember best. Hetalia exists to remind us that our past wasn't all bad. I don't think there are many people (if there are any at all) who believe the events of Hetalia are accurate historical fact. Rather, Hetalia has prompted them to take an interest in actual history. there are people whose history grades have gone up because of Hetalia. So in short, your claim that Hetalia is an insult to world history and anyone interested in it just isn't true. I was fascinated by history long before i even knew what anime was, let alone heard of this series, and yet i love it.

Finally, to most of the people who commented before me, Hetalia has nothing to do with Christianity. I recognize your opinion and your right to it, but it seems like you're trying to force this series into a sin, when it's just meant as entertainment. There is no commandment that says, "Thou shalt not make history into a form that is amusing and fosters an interest in those who might not otherwise care." There just isn't.

(Sorry for making this long in advance.) I don't understand what this reviewer's problem is so much, but from what I understand I see IceCreamNinja is complaining about it trivializing history for the most part. I hope I can see a more objective review next time from someone who knows what they’re talking about or can acknowledge they don’t understand the show and its appeal without going on hateful spiels for no reason, but for now...
I'm having trouble trying to explain this to you IceCreamNinja, but I hope I can make it clear:
1. Hetalia is not meant to be purely educational. The truth is that the characters/countries are all made fun of so why you are complaining about stereotypes on a comedy show making fun of stereotypes baffles me. From watching the show/reading the comics I can safely say that Mr. Himaruya is not trying to trivialize history but merely present random parts of it in ways easier to understand or are funny. Just because he is trying to make the comics generally funny doesn’t mean he deliberately makes fun of the countries in a bad way or makes fun of the people that died since he is not making fun of those dead people. He is looking at history and condensing it using simple representations of the countries. It might seem as if he is trivializing it but he’s just showing the basics of what he believed happened, and not always to make fun of it. If it seems funny, it’s merely a result of this condensed history. People are people, after all, and the past is past. If you want history taken seriously, read a book. The show/comic is just a quick distraction in between.
2. The important thing to note here is that not all serious historical events are made fun of lightly. In fact, it's obvious that Himaruya is deliberately skirting over the more serious parts of history and focusing more on the characters and modern cultural stereotypes rather than focusing on how "evil" they should be during some parts of history. Countries are obviously not really people, and not all people are the same, especially as they were back in any point in history. However, in the show their representations seem to live for as long as the country does while retaining the same basic personality. In other words, the ramifications of portraying a country as evil in the show would be devastating as it would seem the entire country and its people are terrible and have done terrible things they can never be forgiven for when not all people in the country now are the same or even responsible for anything that’s happened in the past. What I’m trying to get across is that we know about WW2 already and that is why we can ignore the truly bad parts of history in this show because they are not funny. Now, imagine if Himaruya actually included the Holocaust as something funny in his comics. Not only would it be tasteless, but downright stupid and insensitive. (Even if he did mention it I highly doubt he would even try to make light of the situation.) The entire Hetalia show is crude and possibly offensive, but it doesn't try to enforce any stereotypes as you say. Instead, it borrows from different stereotypes so that we are familiar enough with the countries to laugh at how ridiculous the stereotypes are or even at how true they may be sometimes. For example: America and hamburgers. The show isn't implying that all Americans are fatasses that love hamburgers, but the small bits of truth are apparent enough. What I mean is, whether or not many Americans are fat, childish people who try act like heroes, Hetalia simply tells us that is how Americans/American history/events are viewed to people who believe these stereotypes. To me the only people who can say anything in this anime is true are those who have actually researched history and can at least see how American history can show its leaders having hero complexes. But the fact remains that these countries personified are only interpretations and should be treated as such.
3. Do you honestly believe the fans who watch this actually go out and think Italians are all cowards or like Italy for this reason? At most what we should get out of this is that Italy wasn't a great military power, which is indeed what Himaruya is trying to get across, not that Italy as a country is full of whiny cowards who can't defend themselves without Germany. In short, Mr. IceCreamNinja you are taking this way too seriously and literally! Get a sense of humor or don't complain about your own interpretation of the show without actually understanding it (and the ENTIRE fandom, not some part since we're not all the same) first. For one, I think it's interesting to see how countries are portrayed in the show and don't take everything in the show to heart, but I laugh because of the characters' personalities themselves (not tied to their country or only loosely) and historical events I understand put into an allegorical tale of two sides competing against each other. Also note that the countries have bosses and are not necessarily in control of their country/its people and even can represent the people themselves. So, it's impossible to really take everything literally when one event in the show can have different implications depending on how you look at it.
4. All in all, the show is mostly just using cultural stereotypes mixed in with bits of history to create the characters’ quirky personalities, not the other way around. If we love the characters it’s because not one is portrayed as utterly unforgivable or unlikable (because they are not supposed to be) unless you just don’t like a character’s personality in general. Even if someone doesn’t like a character, I’m sure that doesn’t mean they hate the country or like it just because it happens to be their favorite character in Hetalia. For fans it’s actually the other way around: we love the Hetalia characters because we love all the countries. Finally, most fans accept that the canon is flexible since, (obviously, again) that is NOT how countries should totally be viewed in any means. The most I can say is that they are merely another more fleshed out and whimsical version of a country’s Uncle Sam or John Bull. Hetalia uses personified countries mostly as a springboard for telling jokes, but can sometimes act as a brief history lesson in between while you, as an informed citizen of any country, should merely laugh at the silly characters/jokes while distinguishing in your mind what actually happened or research it yourself so you can understand or perhaps even object.

It's right, you have your point, I agree with that Hetalia is purely inaccurate in history. Their countries personifications are just stereotypes, etc..
But be calm all of you, it's just a show/series.
If you really want to know some history go and take a book, anime most of time is fiction with obviously some reality points.
Personally, I know a lot of people who like hetalia and make serious and accurate fanfics about some events in their country's history.
Second, I believe there're a lot of different fans. We're not just massive yaoists, or have other traits as a huge part of the fandom. I don't even like yaoi but I let people who like it, live. There can be mature fans out there if you search.
God, Hetalia is not yaoi. People who like yaoi just ship some characters....but that doesn't make Germany - Italy relationship (as seen in Hetalia, just the show) as a yaoi one.
Said in another way: Fans make the yaoi, not Hetalia.
Hetalia made some of my friends to get interested in history. I liked to read about world history before knowing hetalia even existed...
I know a boy, he has 7 years old, and thanks to hetalia, knows a lot of countries, flags, capitals and he knows were they're in the map. Obviously, there're some parts of the series he cannot watch, so I cut, because I believe they aren't for kids.
He even asks me questions like "why did the roman empire fall?" or about the WWII. Which boy of 7 years asks those questions and knows were, for example, Seychelles is?
Another point, I'm really conscious about the horror and disasters, of the world wars. Do you think someone would enjoy watching the axis powers and the allied forces killing themselves?
For that, I'd go and watch a documentary...
I believe hetalia is just a big, big utopia. Hetalia is where everything bad is left aside, and every character get along well, it doesn't matter the ideology. Why? Because it's a simple series.
Like some people said before: If you don't like, don't watch...You're in all your right to post what you -don't like- but hate is maybe a strong word.
Just see the comments: Why people who dislike hetalia write with aggressive words filled with hate? See why people who like hetalia answer you peacefully?
Just, don't go and post your -hate- to the fandom, because then -you- are the one who's being intolerant...

First of all, I would like to voice my opinion (Of course you probably block my opinion). The Anime Hetalia: Axis Powers was created for fun, joy, excitement and to learn a little about History. I wasn’t a fan of History myself, until I found this anime. People, who hate Hetalia, such as you, think Hetalia is full of racism, stereotyping, ECT, but really it was just a random show made up. Do you possibly think Masashi Kishimoto, Tite Kubo, Tsugumi Ohba, or any other Manga creater could have thought of something like this? No, I don’t think so. So if you really think about it, Hetalia is’nt all that bad. I am Japanese, and I certainly find myself acting like Japan at times. My American friends also acts like America, theyre fun loving, joyfull, but not overweight like America is. But I myself do not judge you, on your opinion, I just wanted to voice mine. Mine is readable, unlike the childish comments bellow or above mine, that talk about how mind-destroying this anime is.

Call me a Megalomaniac if you will, but please don’t spam my inbox with your childish hate mail. Oh, and about your comments about “God hating Hetalia”. Remember God, is God, and he hates absolutely nothing.

Hetalia makes me lose faith in this generation's teenagers.
Hetalia makes me hate this very fandom.
Hetalia makes me think that it's futile to say the truth.

And I agree with this.

There's a kind of rift between the anime and the source material, in that every new incarnation of APH (the anime; the merchandise; the Funi dub, especially) tries to give new meanings to the original 4-panel comics.

And where did this assumption that the anime trivialises serious issues of WW2 come from? The truly serious tragedies are never touched. The gags are based on stereotypes, not genocides.

Clearly you have missed the point, you moron. How do you have the gall to call yourself a reviewer?

If you will allow me, I must now express my fury by way of Beethoven's 5th. This calls for far more than Chopin.

Why would I be jealous of a basement dwelling creep with a pencil dick?
Posted by on July 16, 2010 at 11:54:03 AM
You're just jealous he has more fangirls than your favorite character.
Posted by on July 16, 2010 at 11:43:37 AM
Prussia isn't even a country any more. His fangirls are delusional.
Posted by on July 16, 2010 at 11:02:52 AM
This show could've been way more AWESOME if Prussia was the main character.

Cool story bro.

The last three responses of mine show clearly what a sick and twisted, God-bereft fandom the Hetalia fangirls choose to inhabit. They abandon all morals at the door and apply rage-inducing harmful stereotypes and homosexuality to the tragedies of this Earth.

Name a tragedy, name a great conflict, they will trivialize it and turn it into a festival of perversion and sins. Jesus would not weep for these whores who sold away their morality for cheap gags, he will strike them down and spit in their eye!

Oh, and "Receipt" circle's doujinshi, the "Stamp" series which people love so much... it's as shitty as shit. It's disgusting.
I don't get why people are so loving that shitty doujinshi.
No plot, no characterization, no in-depth whatever, no great impression at all... no nothing. There's none of their doujinshi that really got me hooked and interested.
And they're all being too OOC, especially, Ludwig, too OOC, so OOC I had my allergies again.
Sure they draw cute, but that's it. And their drawings aren't even that good compared to other circles.
The circle's name should have been Re-shit instead of Receipt.
And that shitty doujinshi? It shouldn't be titled Stamp, but Spam.
I'm totally not speaking this as a shitaly hater and gershit basher, I speak as a doujinshi lover.
And I am so wondering why that circle is so popular. Hah!
And wtf, Lud x pet-dog!shitaly? as if! that's so disgusting, I tell you.
Reading that makes me want to ask, "So this is what you people say as German porn with the dog?" which isn't even a real dog at all. Bah!
Who would name their dog 'italy' anyway? So stupid!!!!!!
And how come those people are so eager about the scanlation as well but nobody's too eager when it's about other pairings? Screw that... usuk and gershit are the biggest two fandoms in english speaking community.
And here comes my "Hetalia makes me..." sentences above again.

i like what i like, and i hate what i hate.
and all of the people do the same.
so why can't they just mind their own business?
what does it matter to them if i hate the shit and i'm vocal about it?
it's not like i'm forcing them to hate the shit as well.
It makes me laugh how they're all such freetimers, trying to find other people's mistakes and bash them.
Just because those other people's mistake is that they don't like the same thing those spammers do.
not like i want to be the same as them anyway.
Having my name mentioned so many times makes me kinda proud of it.
i hope they do realize, bothering me about the shit won't turn me into a shitshipper. At All.
it will only increase my hate for that little shit even more.
And, it makes me believe even more, that ALL SHITSHIPPERS ARE SPAMMERS.
ALL OF THEM.
and lol at someone who was complaining about the art dump i did. dewd, the title said -art dump- so it's always having so many pictures. and i even mentioned, if someone's tired of me posting pics, just say so. well? idiot didn't use their chance well and now they dare to complain? suckers... and what? that's Germancest community, of course i have the right to post germancest's hardcore sex pics, don't i??

Hidekaz has gotten a stranglehold on anime fans ... and have had an easy job doing so. In rapid succession, fans gave into every demand, including ignoring history completely, causing people to become hollow shells of seething hatred, and producing volcanic reactions of rage-induced fury.

Studio Deen makes itself very busy promoting the mindless entertainment cause, including remixing “Marukaite Fuck You” a gazillion times. An example of its passionate chorus: “Draw a circle, there’s the earth. Draw a circle, there’s the earth. Draw a circle, there’s the earth, I am Hetalia!”

Describing the rapid and eager slide into moral poison in this anime, one “fan community” group brags about how Hetalia bringing people together– when the fandom went truly global in 2009. From there, it was a happy hop, step, jump to today, where the anime is being distributed in several languages.

But, global fans embracing of Hetalia is just the latest in its long and rich history of accepting and promoting historical perversion. In episode 1 entitled “Stereotyping People and Countries into Ridiculous Caricatures that Reinforce the Incorrect Preconceptions,” produced by the wicked Studio Deen, the grotesque bastardization of history is declared for all to see Hidekaz’s open shame. Studio Deen is big on pomp and circumstance – that is, big on idols – but they are woefully short on decency and even basic protection of history.

Funimation reinforces Hetalia as friendly and innocent: “Great Nations havin’ fun. ” Barf bag, please.

Warning To God's Elect: Leave the Hetalia fandom NOW!!! "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, come out of her my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." Rev. 18:4

Familiarize yourself with Ezekiel 16! It’s the perfect portrait of Hiramuya: he was a manga-ka lying in a pool of his own blood, naked, bare, alone. The Lord covered his nakedness, swaddled him, had compassion on him, caused Hetalia to multiply and adorned it with beautiful fanworks: righteous fans, prosperity, thought-provoking fic, etc. God Almighty blessed Hiramuya and caused Hetalia to grow a mighty, “exceeding beautiful” fandom.

THEN what did Hidekaz do? He played the harlot: he turned his back on God, forgetting how He had raised him and caused him to prosper, and served other gods and commit abominations (trivializing of history, Studio DEEN, Japan’s Mary Sueness, etc.).
THEN he hated the fruit of his womb the Lord had given him and sacrificed his children to idols (Hidekaz lies to his fans about what actually happened in history).
THEN, as if those things weren’t enough, Hiramuya opened up requests, spreading his legs at every opportunity to commit whoredoms.
AND, what makes Hiramuya different from the other typical, godless, whore manga-kas, is that he won’t accept money to play the harlot with his dirty country porn, but he gives gifts to and pay others to come and commit whoredoms with him! Who ever heard of a whore paying his lovers?! Your nakedness is and will further be uncovered, Hidekaz! The Lord will leave you naked and bare and desolate! “Lamentations, and morning, and woe!” Ezekiel 2:10.

Open Letter to Hiramuya Hidekaz
Dear Sir:
It is our considered opinion that you are a dangerous man, an ignorant man, and a
foolish man. You say you will use your ability to “draw” and the full weight of your fame
to promote trivializing history and ridiculous caricatures - two things that God hates. Then you say God has no right to hate. Whereas the Almighty differs from you; to wit: "As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated." Rom. 9: 13. Does God love or hate the people in Hell? Do you know more than the Puritans? who left us a vast body of extant literature on the hatred of God. Can it be that you have never read "Sinners In the Hands of An Angry God," by Jonathan Edwards?
You said you would caricaturize your own country if it showed up in your webcomic. Yet, you portray Japan as a quiet, mysterious, thoughtful and observant young man who knows how to make the best of any situation.
Ice Cream Ninja has tracked your revelatory utterances, and has put them in a
lengthy, well-written monograph, entitled, "Hetalia-Axis Powers [Review]." It is replete with many, many footnotes, supporting the author's central theme; to wit: "Hetalia is still predicated on the belief that complex events can be reduced and represented through common anime tropes, in the process often marginalizing the true weight of those events for comedic or melodramatic effect.." We believe Mr. Ice Cream Ninja is right. We have most if not all the books written by you, and about you. The word,
"marginalizing," fits you. Insincerity with God and being melodramatic will take you to Hell.
You simply need to repent of your monstrous sins. It is too late for your fans to repent of theirs. They are in Hell. You seem proud of your sins - filling three volumes in your recitation of them. Tell
the truth, Mr. Hiramuya. You are a racist antitalia. Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries.
The way you treated your webcomic leads us to believe that you have the morals of an alley cat. "Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Lk. 13:3.
Sincerely,

God_hates_flags

HETALIA IS PROOF THAT GOD HATES US! ICE CREAM NINJA WILL NOT STOP & THEY WILL SMACK HETALIA , A GOD-REJECTING ANIME WITHOUT PEER!
Hetalia thinks it can bring an army of thugs against God, propping up a filthy drag queen on livejournal to brag they won’t “tolerate” Ice Cream Ninja. God sent Ice Cream Ninja, a giant slosh with Hetalia’s name on it. God will coat Hetalia in seething hatred; put it on fire; & drop it into the ocean like a bad habit! In January 2009, Hetalia put forth a pompous proclamation against God, declaring “moeblobs” would lift their fist & middle finger to heaven. That put God’s bulls-eye on Hetalia. In July 2010, Ice Cream Ninja spent some days in there, warning you to put away your gay countries. Every day, you viciously abuse a hollow shell on your streets warning you to stop trivializing history. Now God will deal with Hetalia! It’ll be awash in rage induced, mind-melting, hatred! Praise His Holy Name!
Check out this song about Ice Cream Ninja! Sing it, all ye who love his appearing!
HETALIA WILL SOON BE CANCELED (sung to Proud Mary)
Rejected his laws in your cities; lovin’ gay countries every night and day
You never met a moeblob that you didn’t love; now Ice Cream Ninja gonna’ tell you how it’s gonna’ play
For mankind’s greatest crimes you keep yearnin'; your anime will soon be canceled
Canceled-canceled; canceled-canceled; canceled ‘cause it’s so ridiculous
Got a lot of freaks in that fandom; wrote a lot of porn of historical events
You have never seen—the sight that is-a comin’; when God cancels this anime
Your fan works you keep churnin’; Hetalia will soon be burnin’
Burnin’-burnin’;burnin’-burnin’; burnin’ in a land fill
You must come out from among them; put away your GerIta and your USUK
Its destruction’s comin’; God will have no mercy; maybe you can petition God—and survive!
Sufferin’-sufferin’; sufferin’-sufferin’; violence and casual evil
Wavin‘; waving’; flyin’ that white flag
Trivial; trivial; trivializing history
Ridiculous; ridiculous; your show has got you cancelled; cancelled; cancelled on the airwaves
GOD HATES HETALIA!
CANCELLATION IS IMMINENTLY UPON YOU!
