Japanese publisher, Shueisha has announced plans to collaborate with Microsoft in order to distribute manga digitally through the internet. The e-books will be available to download on mobile phones with microsoft software, in Japan and overseas.
The titles will be available in Japanese and English for a fee in 2010, however Shueisha has announced that Dragon Ball will be available to download for free in December.
Viz Media, a North American manga publisher whose corporate parents include Shueisha and Shogakukan, has already posted several Shogakukan manga titles on the web for free.
