There are a couple of Japanese media reports that have apparently surfaced regarding the Rebuild of
Evangelion series.
The First Report:
The additional Eva 1.0 revision for TV broadcast last Friday was declared a success by media analytics from the Video Research firm with Kanto Region audience share numbers hitting 12% for the night. 355,000 people sent the concurrent Evangelion 2.0: You Can (Not) Advance to 5 billion yen ($52 million) in box office sales since its release. (sounds so much better in yen... five billion!)
The Second Report:
A news report has surfaced regarding the issue of people attending
Eva screenings to record the film and subsequently uploading it to Chinese upload/P2P portals for download. The report has gone as far as providing instructions on how to spot the recorders. This is following the movie having been apparently leaked in Korea two days before it's scheduled premiere because of the uploads.
